The Taste of Us

My practice explores how personal memories can expand into cultural and sensory forms through food and everyday objects. Food is a powerful medium through which we remember places, people, relationships, and shared experiences. A dining table can hold personal memories as well as family habits, cultural traditions, and stories passed through generations.

I work with familiar objects, images, food, and spaces by placing them in new contexts. Through this process, everyday things become traces that connect personal experience with broader cultural memory.

I am interested in memories that gradually fade with time and in the small things that continue to carry them. My work brings these traces into focus through new sensory experiences, allowing memories to transform and exist in another form. Rather than preserving the past as it was, I explore how taste, scent, objects, landscapes, and shared moments can continue to resonate long after they have passed. akakaaadgadsg
